Alan Taggart, Managing Director, has more than 35 years of high tech industry experience, including 14 years in engineering and technical roles and senior leadership positions, and more than 20 years in consulting. Working collaboratively with top companies and government agencies, Alan has used his versatile knowledge and extensive experience to consistently help clients reach their goals.

At Dalya Partners, Alan has provided leadership and industry expertise to life science companies in areas such as strategic franchise development, government contract administration, operational excellence and product development. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Alan led several product development teams, led an engineering team to expand manufacturing capacity to supply essential medicines to treat COVID-19 patients and created business strategy to improve product quality and reduce costs.

Alan’s executive leadership and pharmaceutical experience comes as a result of serving as former Vice President of Government Programs at MedImmune, the global biologics unit of AstraZeneca, where he proposed, negotiated and secured more than $500 million in government contracts and managed the relationship with the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services during the H1N1 pandemic of 2009/2010. In addition to working on a wide range of other government program contracts, Alan led MedImmune’s contract compliance and technical project management divisions.

Alan’s technical and engineering includes experience at Bausch and Lomb as a Manufacturing and Project Manager and at McDonnell Douglas as a Product Test Engineer. He holds and M.S. in Management of Technology from the University of Miami and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Florida Institute of Technology.
